Tips for Visiting Rooftop Bars in Barcelona
IMPORTANT:
Most rooftop bars listed here are located in hotels but are open to the public. Pool areas may be reserved for hotel guests, and access can depend on time, season, and capacity.
- Sunset is key
Book ahead, especially if you want a table at sunset and if it’s peak season. - Weekdays are quieter
If you want photos or a calm drink, avoid Friday and Saturday evenings.
Early afternoon = more relaxed
Sunset & night = more controlled entry
Summer weekends = queues, guest priority
Winter / weekdays = very chill - Dress code
Smart casual = always safe
Flip-flops + beachwear = no, no, and no - Drinks & food
Prices in Barcelona fluctuate by season and events. Expect higher prices on summer evenings and weekends. - Private events
Rooftops can close temporarily for weddings, brand events, and DJ nights

… Some nights call for a dressed-up cocktail with skyline views, other times you just want a quiet terrace, a cold drink, and a place to sit while the city cools down…
You don’t need to chase all of these bars in one trip. Pick one near you, just maybe try to go a little before sunset for those pictures, and see where the night takes you…
… And if you find a rooftop you love that’s not on this list, please don’t hesitate to tell me all about it!
Aaaanyways,
See you at the next one,
