Chasing Dreams, and maybe a book… or two

What is your career plan?

I usually don’t participate in these DailyPrompts, but I have to admit, sometimes it makes me wonder – … especially about life. Earlier, I told you all about my long-distance love affair with Barcelona… And today it’s all about daydreaming about the future. So, tell me – … Where do you see yourself in like… 10 years or so?

You know that feeling, when you’re doing something you love, and it just feels right? That’s how I’ve always felt about being creative. From a young age… Whether it was drawing, taking a million photos, writing short stories, and lately experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen… I’ve always felt most alive when I was creating something.
Over the years, that spark for creativity has only grown, and it’s one of the reasons I started this blog about my experiences, and passions – travel, food, and, of course, a whole lot of randomness that pops into my head.

Traveling opens my eyes to the beauty of the world, and I feel inspired by new sights, sounds, and tastes. … And the kitchen? Cooking allows me to express my creativity in a whole different way.It’s like a safe place where I can experiment with flavors, textures, and techniques.

The food, the people, the sights – it all gets me thinking about how much more there is to explore and experience.

Now, let’s get to the real dream cuz if I’m being totally honest, there’s this one big idea I can’t shake out of my mind.
As much as I love writing this blog, there’s this little voice in my head that wonders where this crazy journey might take me!? Like… Could I turn this passion into something bigger?
A career?
Maybe a book (or two)?
Who knows!? I’m just here, stirring the pot – literally and figuratively – and hoping to see where it all goes…

  1. When I started back in 2010 friends in travel forums told me to write a book no way not into it, then they said about a blog well an American friend still living in Madrid told me about wordpress, and the rest is a wonderful story indeed. My blog is my life’s history all of it. Cheers

  2. I am avoiding thinking too far ahead. That is for those still feeling immortal.
    Do whatever you please, when you please. As long as you can support yourself & don’t hurt anyone, the world is your oyster!

  3. Do it. Do it now, while you’re still young and can afford to (and I don’t mean money). The older you get, the more responsibilities you pick up, the harder it is to pursue your dreams. Unless you started when you were young and now you’re living / working your dream.

    So do it now.

  4. Apparently I used to say ‘I could write about that in my book’ it took me a very long time to get around to writing books as life gets in the way, but then you have plenty to write about. I wish blogging had been around when I was young, it is such a good way to get into. The routine of writing which most of us abandon after school.

  5. Completely get this… creativity is something that’s restlessly churning inside, never sleeping, ideas captured on Notes for future consideration. And I get the cooking thing as well… playing around with ingredients, seasonings, cooking techniques… it’s like art, a little dab of blue here or a more subdued element there… you never know how it’s gonna come out 😎

    This is the first I’ve seen of your blog…after you liked one of my posts. You have a great attitude about life and all it has to offer. You’re young and have great goals and dreams…don’t stop chasing them.

    My past career is in the rearview, being replaced by travel, writing, and discovering great food and people around the world. I’m living my dream.
